Tips From Celeb Hair Dresser Desirae Cherie

GOOD HAIR, DON'T CARE.

No matter the season, change in weather always equals a shift in your hairs wellbeing. Mixed with the fact that so many of us are chemically processing our or styling every day, and you’ve got a recipe for some serious dried out tresses. I'm here to share with you some of my favorite go-to products that will help prevent or repair your damaged locks!

Rejuvabeads Split End Mender by Monat - BUY

To sum this product up in 5 words… This stuff is the sh*t. I’ve seen it work to restore even the gnarliest of dry hair + split ends, to soft, silky, virgin like hair. To top it off all Monat products are.

It’s so good it’s creepy!

No. 1 Hair Masque by Bambi + Sammi - BUY

I’ve been using this Masque for a solid 3 years now and it won’t be leaving my sight anytime soon. Created by two Aussies (whose minds grew conscious of the hair products we’re washing down the drain). No.1 Masque is botanical based, nonexistent of all the don’ts, and full of all the do’s. Leaves the hair SUPER moisturized while reducing impact to mama earth. My other fav thing about this product is that it comes in a resealable pouch which makes it super easy for throwing into a carry-on while traveling.

D.I.Y Aloe Vera + Coconut Hair Spray

Wether you are on a budget or simply like crafting your own products
this is one of my favorite D.I.Y products. Aloe vera promotes hair growth, revives the skin and scalp, conditions hair leaving it silky + shiny. Coconut oil strengthens the hair, promotes growth, adds shine, rich in Vitamins, improves scalp health.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1/2 cup fresh aloe vera
  • 2 tbsp liquid coconut oil
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • jar

HOW TO:

  1. Take one Aloe leaf and cut off each spiny side.
  2. Cut down the center of the leaf splitting the top and bottom while exposing the gel.
  3. On a cutting board, use a fork to mash up the Aloe.
  4. Place Aloe in a bowl with the Liquid Coconut oil and some water.
  5. Whisk the ingredients together and add to a jar.

SPRAY BOTTLE RECIPE:

Biosil Vegetarian Capsules - BUY

If you’re looking to improve your hair, skin, and nails, these capsules are magic in a bottle. After 1-2 weeks of use I always get clients messaging me saying things like “is it weird that I’m already noticing a huge difference?” or “my nails are growing like crazy!!!” Another major plus?  Incase you’re someone who also gets laser hair removal, I’ve personally never run into issues with it making hair grow back.

Sheila Stotts Removal Brush - BUY

I never thought I’d be so attached to a brush… A BRUSH! My “Sheila” goes with me evvvverywhere and just in case I forget it I have backups in my car, all suitcases, bathroom cabinet, shower, and multiple bags. Sheila Stotts is a celeb hairdresser who’s famed for her hair extensions. The brush was created to be gentle on the hair while working out any crazy knots. I love this brush because too often people are using a bad brush on bad hair. Example - a brush with plastic balls on the ends of the bristle being ripped through dry or damaged hair = making it rain dry hair and/or split ends. “The original, classic, plastic brush with metal, needle-like teeth makes detangling hair a breeze. Can also be used in the shower for detangling wet hair or to distribute conditioner while massaging the scalp.”
