@thebadadultsand @blackboysrecyclehave decided to host an activation in the form of a Lemonade Stand with the goal of bringing the community together to repurpose expired ideologies, and flip the narrative for these Black children.
In Bel Air, a Black family with 3 small children have been targeted the past 2.5 years. One neighbor violently sprays the kids with a hose when they’re “too loud” in their own yard. To add to it, many other racist neighbors started spreading hate around the community as well as on the neighborhood APP Next Door. 2 weeks ago the children were sprayed once again, with no help from police or community so the father exercised his freedom by playing Black music in protest in his driveway. Over the past month the Black family has experienced the police being called and sent out multiple times a day, threatened arrest for playing music on his own property during daytime hours, and they have been cited over $10,000; yet the white neighbor has yet to have consequences for 2.5 years worth of hate even though there are multiple police reports on her.
