My Favorite Poke: Los Angeles

Latest food obsession? Poke. Not sure what it is, but I've been addicted since summer. I like  the fact I can get it to go and eat while I'm driving. It's basically sushi in a bowl... what's not to love? Below are the places I've been trying around Studio City and why I love.. or don't love the spot.

8 OZ. POKE

15030 Ventura Blvd #2, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
Came here a few times because one of my girlfriend's put me on. For awhile it was SO good and I loved all their toppings and they offer brown rice (bonus for me.) but the last two times I went the fish didn't taste as fresh. Since then I moved on..

MAINLAND POKE

8318 1/2 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048
There's a few of these locations and I've eaten at the location off 3rd St. a lot. They offer brow rice, the fish has always been fresh, the delivery (postdates) has always been accurate. They don't have the best reviews, but I have no complaints. Mainland's pretty decent!

HOKE POKE

 801 S Hope St b, Los Angeles, CA 90017
Okay, not my favorite and I only ate here once. They don't offer brown rice, but they had bamboo rice... which I never heard of, but it's suppose to be white rice infused with bamboo - and can't say I like it. They also put so much sauce that I couldn't taste the fish.

ALL ABOUT THE POKE

 3503 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505
This gem is on Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank and I think they officially won my heart over. They give you amazing portions, not to mention I've been there at least 10 times and the fish is always fresh. They offer both brown rice and white, and they have more tuna options. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
