Here we are in the middle of January. Most are feeling energized and excited for an amazing new year, however many are already feeling deflated. It’s only 2 weeks into the new beginnings and you’ve already broken your resolution. Yikes! I know because I used to be one of those people. But seriously, cheer-up buttercup, resolutions are a thing of the past! You don’t need a new year to make a health change, you just need a new day!
Think of the health habits you have that are not serving you and focus on one at a time. I suggest making a list, maybe in the Notes app on your iPhone? It could look something like this: no more soda, too much coffee, not enough water, or even worse… In-n-Out cheeseburgers. Be honest, you don’t have to show anyone. Just choose one and start to consciously focus on what you could do better. Trade your soda in for sparkling water, switch to decaf, carry around a water bottle… I’ll leave the last one up to you, but you get the idea. Think of the compounding effect if you make 1 change a month, SO EASY! That would fantastic, gain 12 better habits throughout the entire year. You will not only feel better physically, but also mentally for achieving the goals you are setting for yourself. So, make this year all about You.
