ALEX SAUTTER

What inspired you to get into graphic design/ making illustrations?

I’ve been creative my entire life... art, performing, writing... There wasn’t really a goal to get into illustration or design, it’s just sort of evolved that way. There’s so much more I’d like to do!

If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?

If I could, I would give the world more understanding and empathy. I think it can be easy for all of us to get caught up in our own feelings and experiences that we sometimes forget to see things from different perspectives.

What’s the biggest advice you would give your younger self? And what advice would your younger self give to you now?

Ha - to my younger self, “Start Dialectical Behavior Therapy ASAP - you aren’t a Drama Queen, you have trauma and a mood disorder! Your feelings are valid!” As for the other way around, hopefully something like “just keep going,” but there’d probably be some clichéd Marilyn Monroe quote in there too.

What’s a goal you currently have?

Self-love! Being able to truly love and appreciate all of myself.

Do you have a favorite quote?

“Someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair” - Led Zeppelin, Going to California.
