Your Crush Vs. Your School Work

FORGET YOUR CRUSH AND FOCUS ON THESE BACK-TO-SCHOOL GOALS INSTEAD

The last thing you need to read about are tips on how to win your crush over at school. That’s easy, be yourself and if they don’t like you then move on! One day you’ll find someone who’s into you for who you really are and who won’t make you chase their difficult ass. Truth is, I’m not here to tell you how to get your crush, at all. I’m here to tell you why you shouldn’t care to get them right now.

FOCUS!

Let’s be honest. We already have a short attention span as it is. Take that energy that you’d put into a boy and give it all to yourself. If they aren’t the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, then you’re wasting your efforts that could be better spent on setting up your future.

CONFIDENCE!

If you don’t even feel you have the confidence to get the one you want, then that right there says you need to work on yourself. It would be impossible to have a successful relationship with someone else if you don’t yet have a successful relationship with yourself.

FIGURE YOUR SHIT OUT!

You need to make your mind, heart, body, spirit, and your career a priority. If you don’t have the slightest idea what you want out of your life, then what makes you think you have an idea of what you want out of a partner?

PATIENCE!

What we want when we’re 16 sure as hell won’t be what we want when we’re 22… at least I hope for your sake! Meaning, your “ideal” person now may not seem so ideal later. Trust me I’ve been there, you’ll outgrow him!

MENTAL HEALTH!

We’re learning who we are when we’re young. We make the most mistakes, hurt the most people, and we say sorry (or we don’t) often. Being selfish is second nature when we’re getting to know ourselves, and to be honest that’s okay… when you’re single.

Who even has the time these days to recover from a breakup from a person they most likely won’t even end up with anyway? The best relationships thrive in healthy settings. That means when you’re ready. For now, don’t worry about getting a boo. Concentrate on yourself, flourish, and be more selfish regarding who gets your attention, your heart, and your energy. The ironic thing is, when you focus on yourself and stop chasing people —  they start chasing you. It’s a tale as old as time.
